My educational background includes a Master’s degree in translation from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic (1993), a course in Spanish-to-English translation from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (Escuela Universitaria de Traductores e Intérpretes), University of Granada, Spain (1992), and an ever-increasing number of courses and seminars (for a full list please look here or here).
I am a member of the Czech Union of Interpreters and Translators (JTP), a leading Czech association of professional linguists, and a member of the Czech Literary Translators‘ Guild (OP).
My hobbies include volunteering at a children’s outdoor club as a leader and paramedic, reading, hiking and permacultural gardening.
